COVID Can’t Stop Construction on MCL Headquarters

GeneralPrefab MCL

Work on a 32,000 square foot office building for MCL Construction’s new headquarters location was about 60 percent complete when COVID-19 struck the Omaha area, but that didn’t stop Miller Electric from getting the work completed on time and without incident.

While safety protocols kept things moving, the ability to find savings from the start kept the project within budget.

In the end, all you have is your name.

Stellar communication and attention to detail kept the project moving forward. MCL’s safety protocol involved remote meetings, daily screenings, morning assemblies, additional cleaning, safety checks and social distancing.

By taking the protocols seriously and policing themselves, workers were able to stay healthy and avoid infections at a time when the pandemic was shuttering nearly every sector of the economy.

With a hard date for leaving their existing building, safety throughout, and speed at the end, was critical to the project’s success.
