Accounting Administrative Assistant


The Accounting Administrative Assistant supports accounting operations and others by performing accounts payable, reconciling statements and accounts, building and maintaining excel spreadsheets, purchasing office supplies, and other administrative functions.

Essential Functions

Assist with tax reporting and lien waivers
Prepares bank deposits
Creates and maintains excel spreadsheets
Generates aging analysis
Assists in investigating and resolving customer queries
Enters invoices for payable check runs
Maintains vendor files
Assists in month-end reporting
Resolves PO discrepancies
Assists with office supply purchases
Other administrative tasks and special projects, as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Demonstrate a strong work ethic, self-motivation, attention to detail, and be able to manage multiple projects.
Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions
Willingness to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision


High School Diploma/GED
1-3 years experience in accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping principles
